ABOUT AMY HOPPENRATH
AMY HOPPENRATH
Marketing Consultant

Amy Hoppenrath has more than 20 years experience in advertising, marketing and public relations. Her specialty is building brand strategy that not only positively impacts her clients’ marketing goals but impacts her clients’ business objectives. She’ll delve into an organization and get smart about who they are, what they do and how they are positioned in the community. Then she’ll take the research, assess the gaps and develop a sound brand positioning and marketing recommendation that’s designed to differentiate the client from the competition.
Prior to AH Marketing, Amy worked in a dual role as Midwest Region Director of Strategic Marketing for CBIZ Accounting Tax & Advisory and National Director of Marketing and Growth for Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C for five years. During her tenure, Amy was responsible for the marketing strategy and implementation of these organizations through (1) branding efforts that include advertising, sponsorships and public relations (2) targeted marketing to include direct marketing and telemarketing programs and (3) comprehensive niche/service marketing programs. Her overall goal was to integrate marketing with the business development efforts in order to obtain an effective ROI. This corporate experience gave her a keen understanding of the issues and opportunities organizations face on a daily basis.
Prior to her corporate work, the majority of Amy’s career was focused in the agency world -- for more than 19 years she worked for advertising, public relations and marketing communications agencies. Learning the different marketing disciplines first-hand was the catalyst in building Amy’s integrated marketing philosophy.
Amy earned a bachelor of science degree in advertising from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas. She is a graduate of the Centurion Leadership program where she was awarded Centurion of the Year in 1999. Additionally, she has been very involved with the Kansas City charitable and marketing communities.
